Yes.  Most Pre-engineered steel building companies only provide steel that is part of their pre-engineered package.  This limits design that include class A structural steel, joist and decking, and for some even long bay applications.  But at Union Steel Building we can do it all.

Yes, from the initial design to the final detailing we go to great lengths to insure that our building are easy to install.  In our opinion there are only a few differences between a building that is easy to install and one that is not.

The first things is the design.  If the design is not value engineered to reduce the building weight then the building ends up being heavier than it really needed to be and thus requires more equipment and manpower to install.

The second thing is the detailing.  If the detailing utilizes a bunch of bolt on or screw on clips then it weighs more, it take more labor to bolt everything on, there is more chance of missing or misplaced clips, all of which slow the erection process down and make it harder to install.

The detailing also has a huge impact on the drawings. The more clips and such the more details there have to be on the drawings.  This is one area that a lot of building companies fail to address.  All of our building include a complete set of stamped engineered drawings that have detail marks and details pages to show the erector how to install every piece.
